Frameworks

A framework for every problem we solve.

Every system we use, what it does, where it plugs in, and who we borrowed from.

Where they come from

We wrote down what worked.

Every founder we meet is stuck on a problem that someone has already solved. Not in theory: on the shop floor, in the proposal, at month-end.

Kamran Zahid has spent 23+ years in that work, with 100+ companies and 10,500+ students. When something worked, he and his team wrote it down as a framework. When something failed, they wrote that down too.

Those notes became the operating systems, frameworks and models below. Most are our own: 30 of the 38 listed were built from hands-on client work. 8 are adapted from the world’s best practice, and each of those names its source on its row.

So when you ask how we would fix something, the honest answer is usually the same: there is a framework for this too (as always ๐Ÿ˜Š).

Whatever we get right was given to us to get right. Fa Lillฤhiโ€™l-แธคamd.

The one behind the rest

There is a framework for this too.

R = I ร— EResults = Intention ร— Effort

Founders chase revenue. Revenue is just 1 result among many, and it is not the part you control. The Intention ร— Effort Modelโ„ข names the 2 things that are yours, and shows that they multiply: if either one is near zero, the result is near zero.

Results are most likely to follow if the process is followed properly, with good intention and best effort.

Operating systems

Operating systems that do 1 job well.

Each one owns a part of the work, and hands its output to the next.
